Spent last week at the White River Trout Lodge in Northern Arkansas. Trout fishing was excellent!  The White River is all about the water flows and currently its running high around the clock – just the way I like it.  Early mornings till noon and bite was very good.  Hoppers produced some awesome Browns!

Late afternoon/early evening was all about  the Sulphur hatch and dry fly fishing.  Lots of trout rising on this hatch.  Many were rainbows but plenty of great Browns.

These Sulphurs were small and yellow.  Size #18 bugs produced by far the best.

Good action lasted till 8pm and was a ton of fun!  Morning hopper bite mid afternoon lunch break and then late afternoon dry fly fishing made for a great day.

Going to be offering our package of guided fly fishing trips, lodging and meals in the month of July for 2026 those interested in fishing the White River in summer time.  Day time dry fly fishing and then spend the nights mousing and hunting for a giant Brown.  Will be posting more details on July 2026 very soon. Sure looking for to early January and my winter on the White River.
