After a very dry and warm April finally a little rain came and some cool weather.  Made for some very good streamer fishing!  With water levels staying low we were not stripping in the Big stuff.  Mostly the 4″ streamers – peanuts and variations of it, great lakes deceiver in small sizes, Dungeons, Sparkle minnows. Below is just a beautiful 25″er that Tom Buhr caught with me in the first week of May!

Biggest problem we have had in the clear water this year is seeing them coming and setting to fast. Got to let them totally eat it first before hook set!

You never what mother nature will bring us for rest of Spring and this Summer. But will current water levels look for it to more dry fly fishing than stripping streamers.
