It sure wasn’t a normal spring steelhead season. Loved the early portion of it with reasonable high water and some wonderful chrome! The flood sure changed a lot but fishing was still pretty good the last week of April.
Currently still some decent steelhead in lower river now. With the cool May weather of late look for it to continue a couple more weeks. Also been some good walleye fishing at the mouth of river as it comes into Lake Huron. Been some Atlantic Salmon caught also in the area. Im planning on hitting it next week and targeting Atlantics and Smallmouth!
