The last few weeks there has been good numbers of Atlantic Salmon and Coho. Spawning has been very heavy the last 2 weeks. This doesn’t always make for the most aggressive feeding. With Atlantics they don’t die after spawning like all the other salmon. The post spawning bite can be excellent as these fish start searching for minnows, gobies and sculpins. Many head back to Lake Huron but some stay in the river all winter. The Atlantic Salmon run is a long one and look for fresh fish to continue to trickle in thru December.
