The cool weather this Spring has made for a slow warm up of Lake Huron and been ideal for Smallmouth Bass. Currently the northern portion is in the low 40’s and down in our region around 50 degrees. This is ideal for prespawning Smallies! They are do group up now and feed heavy. Ideal for the fly anglers with fish in 4-12’ of water. For the deeper water tube jigs and Ned rigs are ideal. For streamers it’s hard to beat Goby & Shad patterns. With no heat wave coming this Prespawn bite will continue for a while.
Was getting my Lake Huron water dialed in a couple days ago!
