When i left Arkansas in the second week of March to return home from our winter float trips we had that good streamer water. Big water around the clock and some big browns coming to our streamers every day. Photos below were from last day I guided in March.
Well that water is back now and at an ideal time – post spawning brown trout and streamer time! Lake levels are at power pool now and some more rain is in forecast. Break out the 8 or 9wts and our Great Lakes Deceiver in the 8″ jointed. That has been our go to fly in big water since we started fishing this river in 2009. We do have guides available now for those looking for guided float trips. Currently very little fishing pressure on the river.
