Happy New year!! Fishing report from our guide Cameron Cipponeri. The end of the holiday season sure brought in a nice warm up with rising water temperatures. We have been enjoying some good fishing both on the lower Au Sable River and the upper Au Sable. We are still finding Atlantics that want to eat a swung fly on the lower Au Sable. Running egg flies were the ticket earlier this week for the steelhead.
On the South Branch of the Au Sable I got out and caught a beautiful brown and had few others chase.
Looks like we have the mid 30 temps sticking around next week, so I think there should still be some good opportunities for some good winter fly fishing!
