As we get close to Nov 15th it seems like it’s all about deer hunting in Northern Michigan. One of the least crowded times to fish and coming into peak time for Fall Steelhead on the Au Sable. Atlantics continue to trickle in from Lake Huron and this is sure the perfect combo. The last few days NE Michigan has been very cold with morning temps in the single digits. Surprisingly the river is in pretty good shape with normal flows for this time of year. Water temps have been dropping but still at 40 degrees. Forecast is for much improved temps starting this weekend and next week pretty close to normal November weather. Lots of talk about many feet of snow in Michigan now but only a few inches here. Great time to swing a streamer! Here is some photos from this past weekend of Aaron and Hugh on the Au Sable River.
