The rains continue in July and this time some very heavy rains fell yesterday afternoon/evening. The Big Waters and lower Au Sable is in great shape right now with water levels up and temps down a touch. Its Smallmouth time on the Au Sable River now and they love these conditions. I put in this morning in the low light/fog and the streamer bite was just on! Rattlin Murdich Minnows with dropper JJ Special on 6wt with Airflo Streamer Max fly line. This 200 grain sink tip was perfect for streamer fishing. Dont need a hard strip for Smallies but they do like it moving. Here are some photos from this morning.
