I think most have heard about the flood in Northern Michigan by now! For details on when you can fish and all the opinions go to Facebook. Yes I’m getting sick of the subject. The past week Au Sable was the highest I ever seen it. I did put all my River trips on hold this past week.
Just about ready to get back after them steelhead in the lower river. We lost over 3’ of the water in last 36 hours and heading in right direction.
Before flood steelhead run was coming along real nice with good numbers in the river. Size has been up just like last fall on the Lake Huron fish! As to what phase steelhead is in now – will find out this week. A few photos just before flood:
