After record warm weather in September and October it’s finally starting to feel like November in Northern Michigan. The early portion of our Atlantic run was really slowed by warm temps and low water. Even without ideal conditions overall fishing has been pretty good most days. Currently conditions are ideal for swinging and stripping streamers. Low and clear with temps in mid 40’s. Steelhead are showing now also and will really move to a swung fly in these temps. Should be in for some good December fishing with lack of bitter cold so far.
