I sure enjoy spending the Winter for 3 months here in the Ozarks on the White River in Northern Arkansas. I have all of our inventory with me and keep running my online sales from the banks of the White River at the White River Trout Lodge. You can sure pick up orders here also but text/call first at 989-889-5374 is my cell.

All these lines that i mention below can sure be cast first before purchasing if your down here in Arkansas in the winter months or back home on Au Sable the rest of year. I have all current models available to give it a try on the river first if your not sure which one your looking for.

Here on the White River, the Winter months is prime time for the streamer junkies looking for Big Browns. These Browns are coming off the spawn right now and leads to them looking for a big meal. You got a river full of stocked rainbows along with lots of sculpins, shiners and shad – sets up so well for strippin big streamers and this river sure does have trophy Browns! The proper fly line makes casting these larger streamers so much easier. I have tried so many different lines and my favorites are from Airflo! Currently stocking a full line of all there streamer lines from 5wt thru 9wt or 160 grain to 330 grain. The White River can really change its shape and speed based on power generation from Bull Shoals Dam. During low generation the Airflo Ridge 2.0 Superflo Streamer Max Short is an ideal line and very easy to cast with 20′ head. Also my spring time favorite back home on the Au Sable! Got them all in stock and can be order at:

When power generation is up and running good water on the White River the biggest thing that is need in a streamer line is a longer head. This keeps flies down deep for the full retrieve. I use both of these lines from Airflo: Superflo Ridge 2.0 Shovelhead & Superflo Ridge 2.0 Streamer Max Long. Which one is better is personal preference. The Shovelhead is a 30 foot head and has extra weight in tip of the fly line to help sink big flies. The Streamer Max Long is a 40 foot and fishing just like a full sinker but much easier to handle. I like and have used them both on the White River. My guide rods have some of both and I think the Shovelhead gets fly down quicker. Got all models of these two lines in stock:

I love night fishing all winter here on the White River. Best night fishing is done is lower power generations and minimum flow. Mousing can be very productive and we covering water. The longer the cast the better! On given night going to be throwing lots of cast so want it smooth and easy with good distance. Line designed to carry a large mouse pattern and shoot line. This is not a glow fly line but cast so much further than the SA glow lines. We are using glow mice patterns so a glow fly line is not needed. This is the line I use for night time streamer fishing when a floating line is need. I also use this line for Smallmouth Bass & Carp on the flats in Lake Huron. Airflo has the perfect line for this and we have them all in stock:

Here on the White River nymphing can be very productive all year long. My favorite is not the small nymphs and use nymphing rig to dead drift small streamers, buggers, marabou jigs, worm jigs, beads, mop flies, sparkle minnows, etc. My favorite line for this is the Superflo Nymph Indicator. Heavy front taper designed to turn over this heavier small flies with very little effort.
