A great time of the spring with bright silver Steelhead moving into the Au Sable River. Very little spawning happening yet and cool spring has slowed this down. Deep runs are what are producing now. We right on schedule for peak of run to happen in the first part of May.
Some nice silver Atlantic Salmon are around right now but not in big numbers. These fish are highly aggressive and love to crush a swung bait fish pattern. Look for numbers to increase down by the mouth, piers and around the town of Oscoda late in April & May.
