For the middle of May its been a very warm week here on the Au Sable.  Dark Hendrickson is still going in the Big Waters of Au Sable. But a lot of different Mayflies are joining them now.  Light Hennies and Sulphurs have started and will be the big hatch thru the rest of May.  With the high heat this week the best dry fly fishing has been the last hour of light and well into darkness.  Regan’s Hendrickson spinner with egg sack #14 has been my goto pattern.  It has produced some good Browns this week!

Last night’s storm rolled thru just after dark, and rain was a good thing. Major change in weather pattern and much cooler.  Might not have to wait till dark to find rising trout this evening!
