Been loving this true Fall weather of late and ideal for the fishing! Cool and wet of late but pretty low volume of rain. The Au Sable has gotten nice and cold for change in October. Often this doesn’t happen till late in month or November. We got Atlantic Salmon, Coho, Kings and Steelhead in lower river now. Also a great time to streamer fishing the upper river and its branches for Big Browns. Fall color is peak now also!
Jay and Mark hooked up some nice and Atlantic Salmon and put a few in the net this week! 2 of 3 had no fin clips and must be wild! This past spring about 50% of our steelhead catch was wild fish and they sure were beautiful. My guide season is in full swing now on the Au Sable and will be hitting it hard till end of December.
