Most when they think of the Au Sable River they think of trout. But there is so much more! NE MI has some wonderful Smallmouth Bass fishing on the Au Sable, Thunder Bay and Lake Huron. The last couple weeks the streamer bite has been insane on these Smallies! Minnow imitations, Rainbow & Brown Trout, sulpin patterns. Good size in the 4 to 6″ streamers. Smallies love stocked rainbow trout. Top water will be starting soon as water temps increase. Here is couple photos from last week.
