The past week has been a great time to kick off to chasing Big Browns in the dark here in Northeast Michigan! Spring has been moving along quickly and starting to feel like summer – at least for now. With warm weather this time of year comes hatches and spinner falls are at dark and after dark. The mouse bite has excellent but with full moon that could really effect it for a few more nights. Sulphurs and March Brown spinners have sure produced at some night will last till midnight. Working mice patterns in those slow pools can sure produce when bugs fade and trout are still hungry! Cayla with a beautiful Brown caught on #14 Roberts Yellow Drake which is our top sulphur pattern.

May bugs typically don’t last late night and when they run out its a great time to mouse! Or frog patterns are very effective.
