The last half of August and first half September can be excellent time for night time brown trout and daytime Smallmouth. With heat of summer past and all of our big hatches gone for the season many of our larger browns look to feed after dark. Late night mousing is what produces these bigger browns this time of year. Got to love all night float trips!
Smallmouth Bass love this time of year! Daytime streamers and top water in when evening sun comes off water. These aggressive Smallies are just such a cool fish for the fly angler!
