Pleasant surprise with just wonderful cool down and some rain this week! Timing was just perfect for Sulphur Hatch to boom in the Big Waters of the Au Sable. Late afternoon till dark is time frame now. Been no spinner falls just wonderful hatches. In this weather bugs float on surface float forever and its Brown Trout weather. Jerry Regan ties the BEST dry flies on this river and Im luck to have a good supply in stock – can be picked up or shipped out. Here my two favorites – spent wing spinner and Robert’s Yellow Drake size 14-16. A classic line and pool for a good Brown to be sipping! Find riser and out of boat is our drill.
