Moon phase can have a big impact on how our Big Browns feed at night. Dark phases are just ideal for nighttime mousing. With brighter moons we hope for cloud cover or zero in shaded areas. We currently coming into dark period. Last night over the Au Sable River moon didn’t rise till after 1am and was not much of a factor. Coming into third quarter moon phase now and it will just get smaller and rise later every night.
New moon means pitch black all night and it’s coming July 5th.
Got a couple weeks of dark nights now and very good to this point with is middle of July
