Kings came early this year starting in late August and last till mid October. Overall it was an excellent run coming from Lake Michigan! Could have used a little more rain and cool weather in September but think that kept them coming into river in October. I’m sure more Kings will continue to trickle in but for my guide service we are on to chasing other species. Its Atlantic Salmon, Coho and Steelhead time in NE MI on the Au Sable River now. Here is a couple photos from my last trip down the Betsie in mid October and Joe landed some awesome Kings. I am booking trips now for Betsie River Kings 2024 and best to get dates down asap.
